Most Common

The gacha appliers add colours to the HUD. They do not change the shoe itself. To change the shoe, wear the base shoe and its included HUD. Give the HUD a moment to initialise before clicking the HUD. You should see a Texture button. Clicking that button will show all of the colors available to you.

If for some reason, you do not see all of your colors, please try the following:

  1. Click the RESET button on the HUD. This forces the HUD to refresh your colours. You will not lose anything, we promise! Once the HUD has reset, give the HUD  moment to initialise and try again.
  2. If your HUD does not have a RESET button or if step 1 hasn’t worked for you, please visit the store for a fresh base shoe. Unpack the new shoe and wear the new shoe and HUD. Give the HUD a moment to initialise before trying to change the texture.

If you still run into issues or need additional help, please contact us!

Wear each color of the same style shoe at least once. After the colors have been worn once, those colors and related options will be available on all like styles. e.g. Wearing a White Lauren and a Black Lauren will make both shoes have white and black options.

  • Click Menu on the HUD.
  • Click the Shoe button on the SL menu that pops up.
  • Click the button for the color you want.

Colour+

Colour+ gathers your shoe colors and enables you to mix and match the colors of a particular style without the need for updaters or other scripted objects. If you buy a pair of red shoes marked with the colour+ symbol along with the same style but in white then both texture options will magically appear in the Menu. All you need to do is to rez or wear each pair in turn to let the system know you’re the owner of both.

Wear each color of the same style shoe at least once. After the colors have been worn once, those colors and related options will be available on all like styles. e.g. Wearing a White Lauren and a Black Lauren will make both shoes have white and black options.

Shoe styles that support colour+ will be easily identified by a red logo in the top right hand corner of their supporting posters and vendor images.

We regret that older styles cannot be updated to carry this system.

  • Click Menu on the HUD.
  • Click the Shoe button on the SL menu that pops up.
  • Click the button for the color you want.

This bug is most common when standing on prims or mesh at altitude and shouldn’t happen when standing on the ground. Since Gos Boutique shoes are rigged mesh and cannot be moved on the avatar, here are some things the try to resolve the sinking.

  • Make sure you are wearing the correct shoe base. You should only wear the included shoebase.
  • If you have an AO, turn it off and back on.
  • Adjusting your shape’s Hover value temporarily may help. Edit Shape > Body and set Hover to 51. Save the change. Then go back and Edit Shape > Body and set Hover back to 50 and save.

As a last resort if these suggestions do not work for you, Edit Shape > Body > Hover 51 and save the change.

Fitting

Standard Sizing was created to standardize avatar shapes so that rigged mesh clothing can fit most adult avatars. This gives us a common ground for purchasing and creating rigged mesh clothing. There are fives sizes that represent the most common adult avatar sizes – XXS, XS, S, M, and L. You can download the Standard Sizing Package from the Marketplace for more information.

The fit of Gos Boutique’s footwear is affected by three shape settings: body fat, leg muscle, and knee angle. The table below lists the standard sizes and the appropriate shape values for each size. Your shoes will fit best if your shape matches these settings.

Size Body Fat Leg Muscle Knee Angle
XXS 0 40 50
XS 5 45 50
S 7 50 50
M 11 56 50
L 24 69 50

If your shape is not modifiable, you can download the Standard Sizing Package from the Marketplace and use one of the base shapes to create your own shape. If you do not wish to change your shape, switching to the short sheath using the OneTime HUD Menu may help.

The most common cause of poor fitting is a knee angle that is not set to 50. To check and edit your knee angle:

  1. Make a copy of your shape.
  2. Right click your avatar and edit your shape.
  3. Click on the Legs tab
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the leg settings. Knee Angle is second from the bottom.
  5. Change this to 50 and save your appearance.

Due to the nature of mesh clothing, changes to this value should not make a noticeable difference to your avatar’s appearance but will greatly help with the fit of rigged mesh footwear.

If your knee angle is set to 50 and you are still having issues, your problem may be due to your WindLight setting and/or Graphics settings. Check out the quick guide to Ensure a Perfect Match.

If your shape is modifiable, edit and adjust the settings for the appropriate size as listed in the table below. We recommend making a copy of your shape prior to making any changes in case you don’t like them. If you do not wish to change your shape, switching to the short sheath using the OneTime HUD Menu may help.

Size Body Fat Leg Muscle Knee Angle
XXS 0 40 50
XS 5 45 50
S 7 50 50
M 11 56 50
L 24 69 50

Skin Matching

The OneTime System does not allow for the manual entry of RGB values. RGB tends to make mesh appear “flat”. The OneTime system uses HSL to help your feet look their best. Visit our Video Tutorials to see why!

Check out the quick guide to Ensure a Perfect Match. If your skin still does not match, submit a skin request.

Check out our list of Pre-Matched Skin Brands. With over 7000 skins, we can’t list out every skin in our database, but a team member can check for a specific skin. If your skin isn’t in the database, you can always submit a skin request.

Many skin creators have switched to standard skin tones. Try using one of the skins or generic tones that are already in the database for that brand. If that doesn’t work, you can always submit a skin request.

We cannot guarantee turnaround time on skin requests. Skin matches may take several days to complete. In the meantime, please use Manual Match or try another similar match for that brand.

Check out the Manual Match section of our Manual or watch one of our Tutorial Videos.

There is a SL Viewer Rendering bug that results in a large discrepancy in the lighting between the SL avatar attached rigged mesh prims. Having both Shaders enabled eliminates this discrepancy. Please see the SL Jira for more information.

We match skins using the CalWL Windlight setting. This full bright setting allows us to provide a perfect match for the true skin color without any interference from a Windlight setting’s light influence. Download and set up CalWL.
